Christmas in the Park is hiring for the 2020 season. We are looking for reliable, energetic people to assist with the set-up and tear-down of the event. We are also looking for people to work during the event. The link to the application is located at the bottom of this page.

Job Descriptions:

Set-Up/Tear-Down

The set-up/tear-down crew is responsible for assisting in setting up and tearing down the Christmas in the Park display. Up to 40 hours per week from mid-October through Thanksgiving and then January 4th-January 15th. $18/hour. Must be over 18.

Duties:

  • Assist in moving displays to the park and securing in place
  • Assure displays and lighting features are properly working
  • Setting Christmas trees in place
  • General preparation of park for event

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Maintain a professional image at all times
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Must be a team player with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to make quick and accurate decisions
  • Ability to perform under pressure
  • The ability to work with little or no supervision
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to communicate using the English language
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience and working knowledge of construction equipment and tools including, but not limited to forklifts, boom lifts, etc.

Park Staff

The Park Staff is responsible for a variety of Christmas in the Park operations. Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, park staff will oversee operations of various areas within the Christmas in the Park event. Job starts Thanksgiving week and goes through January 3rd. $18/hour. Must be at least 16 years old.

Duties:

  • To be the on-site person to handle any issues with customers or vendors.
  • To help maintain the display
  • To ensure the displays are operating properly
  • Establish a rapport with clients and vendors to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Meet with guests to review and determine their specific needs
  • Reinforcing sanitation, security, and safety guidelines
  • Work the front gate, greet guests and scan tickets
  • Traffic control
