Christmas in the Park is once again partnering with Habitat
for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley for our annual Playhouse Competition! The
program features local companies competing against each other to see who can
build the most creative custom playhouse using a standard template provided by
Habitat for Humanity. The winner takes home the "Cocoa Cup"!
To participate, companies donate to both Habitat for Humanity and Christmas in
the Park ($3,000 to each organization). Participants choose
their theme and coordinate build details with the Habitat for Humanity team.
Finally, participants send their team of 10 volunteers to Habitat’s
workshop to build and decorate their playhouse entry.
Playhouses are displayed at Christmas in Park along
the Habitat walking path. This is a fantastic teambuilding
experience and offers great community exposure. Your
company’s name and logo are featured alongside the playhouse and included in event
social media coverage and voting pages. After the event, the houses are
donated to local families through charities and organizations.
